About WISE 2026

WISE–2026 (Weather and Climate Innovation Meet for Startups and Entrepreneurs) is a flagship event of IITM-MoES, GOI that brings together startups, entrepreneurs, scientists, investors, mentors, and supporting organizations working in the weather and climate innovation space. Weather and climate play a pivotal role in shaping economic productivity, sustainability, and societal resilience. With increasing climate variability, more frequent extreme events, rapid urbanization, and the growing need for sustainable development, there is a strong demand for innovative, technology-driven solutions.
The Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune—India’s premier research institution in atmospheric and climate sciences—has developed a wide range of advanced weather and climate products, models, tools, and data services. WISE–2026 aims to bridge the gap between science and enterprise by enabling startups to leverage these scientific advancements, build meaningful collaborations, and translate them into scalable, market-ready solutions with real-world impact.
